Glow & ranks
Glow
Glow is site-wide XP. You earn it by visiting parts of the site, RSVPing to Friday Hang, posting, and giving sparks. The pill in the nav shows your rank and progress.
Ranks
| Rank | Glow | Flavor |
|---|---|---|
| Lurker | 0 | watching from the rocks |
| Drifter | 40 | floating closer |
| Glimmer | 100 | you've started to glow |
| Beacon | 200 | people find the lobby by you |
| Lightbearer | 350 | you hold the lure up |
The rank named Beacon is a glow step on this list. Beacon the bot is the Discord host. The rank does not run the server.
Sparks
Sparks are how you say "this was good." You get 10 a day; keep your daily streak going and they refill.
The catch
Right now all of this lives in your browser. Real accounts come later. The Account page is up, and nothing on it signs you in.
What glow is not
Glow does not sync to Discord, does not survive a cleared browser, and does not unlock anything in a game. The nav pill is a local toy until accounts exist. Sparks are the same: ten a day, here, then they're gone.
